That URL there up above. That's where I post my gaming type stuff most of the time. Here's a list of what I have going on there now.

Be a Better Player. This is an article series that goes a different direction on giving gaming advice. Most people seem to like offer all the advice in the world for the GM and also like to blame them for every problem that comes up. Well I don't like that idea at all. Most of the games I've ran or played in that had problems weren't because of the GM, it was because of one or more players. So here is my advice on how to be a better player. New article every two weeks.

Cyberpunk Sunday. Basically I surf around a lot and gather up lots of URLs in my bookmarks folders. A good bulk of them have some sort of Cyberpunk inspiration in them. So I pull out a few every two weeks and put them up along with some commentary on what I think of the material presented. Sometimes its very centered to a specific game, other times it just fits the whole genre. New posting on this every two weeks.

Battleground woes.... or just BG woes.... Yeah I play WoW. I'm a casual player who likes a fair dose of pvp on the side. This is my soapbox to rant, rave, offer advice or whatever I want on the subject. Now every now and then something my slip in that's not pvp related, but that's not a common occurance. New posting every week until I run out of stuff to talk about on the subject.

Misc cooking stuff. Basically a few recipes for the grill, some amatuer level advice for cooking on the grill, a few modified Root Beer recipes for those interested. Maybe a few pics just of what I cooked up over the weekend. Posting on this will be completely random.

Been many months since I posted here. Almost forgot all about it existing. I have moved most of my socializing posts with frinds and such to my facebook page and anything gaming related to my blogger page. If anyone is interested in either drop me a line.

I may post here from time to time in a completely random manner.

Running behind on actually doing any posts here. This week I plan on changing that. Thinking of even putting some 'themes' on my days on here. Maybe Youtube Tuesday and Warcraft Wednesday to start off with. At least it gives me a bit more focus eh?

We'll see what mood I'm in come Tuesday.

Okay how about another stupid ass drivethrurpg review?

Now this guy is complaining that the price on a product went down after he bought it. Says nothing about the quality of the game, if it's any good, etc. Just mad because he's been ripped off.

I wonder if this guy buys a DVD brand new for twenty bucks and then gets pissed off when it's on the twelve dollar rack a few months later? Eventually anybody with any bussiness sense will lower the price on their product. In actual physical products this is done to move stock out of the warehouse normally. But for an electronic product this is usually done when the sales drop way down and you need to boost up some interest in the product or product line.

Mister Jeffrey Klingbeil gets the 'Dumbass Reviewer Award' for this month. Maybe I need to hand one out every month. Hell I could probably give out one a day for the first few months without having to look hard.

Finally finished downloaded the Dragon Magazine collection via bittorrent. 335 issues of Dragon, several of the 'Best of...' and Annuals in there as well. I think this is the collection that WOTC was selling on CD-ROMs a while back but got in trouble because they never got permission from any of the original artists and writers. Therefore it's a nearly impossible, and costly, thing to find legit.

So bittorrent was my only choice.

Ohhhh... the nostalgia.

So here soon I'll be running Sla Industries every other week. On the other weeks it may just be back to the ole' red box edition of Dungeons and Dragons again. Always had a blast running that game and now I have a shit ton of material to use for it as well. May just run the adventures they have prepped up in the magazines.

Now if only I could download that old magazine smell....

Okay I really want to see this movie. Really bad. Every bit more that I see of it the more that I like it. Hell I even gave it it's own tag. Damn this looks good.

Starting on the 17th of this month the kids will start staying with their mother during the week and with me on the weekends. After about another month or two here at my mothers I'll have enough saved up to rent an apartment and I'll be outta here.

So my monday through thursday nights will be free. Starting up a regular gaming group is one of the top things on my list as I really miss running (or playing) something.

Slowly working up towards getting a game ready to go here in a few weeks. I'm not pushing to hard since I can't set a date for the start up though. The first two folks I talked to about it are in and can make it during the week. One of them even offered up his place for the game. So it's all looking up.

Things for certain. This game will not be COPS, I'm not recruiting the types of players that would go for that game. It will be ran in Potosi as I don't want to have to travel for the game, especially with me having to work the day of the game and the day after.

Things most likely. It will be Sla Industries, both players sound interested for sure. Hell one has played a lot of Sla and the other hasn't played any but really likes the sound of it. It will be ran every other week allowing me to run a different game on the other weeks. Hopefully that will prevent me from hitting any sort of burn out quickly. I will put up play reports here on my journal.

Then end of the decade. Man the last ten years has been so full of high highs and low lows in my personal life that I don't even want to talk about it. But in the end I think the two big giant highs are outnumbered by the sheer number, and duration, of lows. Some big changes are taking place here over the next two to three months. Hopefully that will set up for a much better next ten years.

Anyways.... how about a few resolution. I have some, a few that I will share and a few that I will keep just to myself.

Start gaming again. The only game I ran this year was the playtest sessions of Little Fears Nightmare Edition. Right off the top I want to run my COPS game again, maybe using a mix of a few systems that I like. Hope to start it soon.

Weight loss. Yeah I know this doesn't work to well with gaming but I'll give it a try. Gotta do something as I'm not getting younger and I want to be there for my kids for many years and not dead on a factory floor from a heart attack. First step is going to be a diet change.

Stress. Gotta cut the stress. Getting some really bad anger problems going and I'm starting to scare myself afterwards. Over the last year and a half I've had almost no escape a constant high level of stress. Starting to get headaches from it and even a few chest pains once or twice when I couldn't calm down. Things will really change here in a few weeks that will drop a chunk of it out (although the lead up to that has added on even more) and in few months another chunk will be cut out.

Move a chunk of my crap out. Ebay will become my friend once again as I've got to much material shit built up. Gotta unload some of it. I'll probably post up here whenever I put auctions up.

Get my website rolling again. I used to be one of those guys who updated their site every week. I've fallen way off of that wagon. Time to hop back on and get some traffic flowing there again. This time with a few ways to (hopefully) make some money off of it.

Wells that my list. Well at least it's what I can think of right now. Anybody got any suggestions on what I should do this next year?

Wow my brain hurts.

I've just spent a good couple hours reading up on some various boards here and there. Huge threads argueing over rpgs as art. Dogpiles on forge theory. Hell on heartbreakers. Forgites trying to get others to drink their Kool-Aid. RPGDipshits screaming that the swine are coming and a war is on. Bunches and bunches of hate.

What the hell....

Mind you I'm one to like some hate every now and then but this is ridiculous. If these assholes would spend all that effort towards something else instead of fighting with each other then the whole freaking hobby would be better off. Seriously how petty can the politics be? Who cares if forgite number fourteen thinks his My Life With Master games are art? Who cares if joe gamer number nine doesn't think his Traveller games aren't art? Most importantly of all in this matter is one simple line.

WHO THE HELL CARES?

They are so busy looking for a fight that they will argue over anything and everything. They also cannot accept the fact that their point of view isn't the holy grail of thinking and that people aren't tripping over themselves just to get an earfull. Almost every side of the various splits of the gaming hobby are going for each others throats full throttle. Especially on some of the sideline forums. Rpgnet manages to stay a bit 'clean' but that's because the mods have to bring down the hammer all the time.

I'm not taking a side. I'm a gamer and I'll run what I like and if you don't like it then just walk away. When it comes to games I don't want your advice, your essays, your criticism or anything else. You're wasting your time with me.
